Its Christmas Eve and were all alone

safe and warm in our little home.

Weve trimmed the tree, placed the wreath on the  door

and stacked the presents up high on the floor.

The windows reflect the fires warm glow

as outside in the falling snow

and glimmer of Christmas lights

carolers are singing, Oh Holy Night.

With joy on our faces and love in our hearts

we hung our stockings above the hearth,

placed milk and cookies on the mantel

a midnight treat for good old Santa.

Now, as we sit down with our cup of tea

were hoping that this Christmas will be,

filled with  love, peace and good cheer,

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year
